Armenia S. Green

Armenia S. Green

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the royal carpet has been laid out and trumpets began to sound. The angels begin to rejoice for another soldier was on her way home.

The early morning train has made its stop for Sister Armenia S. Green in Jacksonville, Florida. All Aboard Servant of God, this is the Glory Bound Express to Heaven. Only ticketed passengers can board. She had ticket in hand, eyes fixed on Glory, and her mind steadfast on Jesus. She boarded the train saying, “All Is Well With My Soul.”

Mrs. Green was born on September 30, 1937 to the parents of Roosevelt and Lula Bell Grant. Mrs. Green graduated in the Class of 1956, from Old Stanton High School. Mrs. Green devoted more than 60 years of faithful service as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Baptist Medical Center. She was a very caring and compassionate person. Mrs. Green was also an excellent caregiver.

Mrs. Green was very sharp, wise, and very astute. She had a love for history and shared many stories about politics and the community. She loved to celebrate her birthday as if it was a National holiday. She was not selfish and celebrated in the joy of others whether it was birthdays, weddings, graduations or whatever the occasion may be. She was there to cheer and give her well wishes. Mrs. Green was known for attending many Celebrations of Life Services and had to have an obituary.

Mrs. Green loved to travel. Two of her most memorable trips were to Hawaii and Paris France. She often spoke of the Eiffel Tower and flying first class.

Mrs. Green was a member of King Solomon United Baptist Church. She was a member of the September district and served under the leadership of Deacon Joseph Sampson. Mrs. Green’s love for her church family was evident to all who knew her. She also treasured the special relationship that she shared with many friends. She served faithfully until her health failed.

Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, grandson and siblings.

Mrs. Green leaves to cherish her memories, her children, grandchildren and devoted son-in-love Ray. She also leaves a host of other cherished relatives and many sorrowing friends.

I’m in such a loss for words. I knew the day would come when you would no longer be here to ask me to save you a program from this weeks funeral’s. I pray for comfort and strength to those affected by this tremendous loss. Gonna miss your calls Ms. Green
