Audrey Fay Collins, 87, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was born on May 2, 1933 in Hickox, Georgia to the late Alver Edgar and Clara Wainwright Jones.
Audrey was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and retired from Duval County Public School System. She loved the Georgia Bulldogs, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted sister, mother, and Nana.
Ms. Collins is survived by her three children: Debi (Ed) Johnston, Cindy Drury, and Mark Collins; six granddaughters: Erin, Shelby, Heather, Brittany, Kayla, and Morgan; sister-in-law Marie Jones; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ms. Collins, the “last of the Jones”, is preceded in death by her three sisters: Geraldine Dowling, Reba Allen and Joyce Bradley; and two brothers: Harry Jones and William Jones.
The family will receive guests at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel in a socially distanced manner prior to the graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February, 13, 2021. Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N. Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
