With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bruce “Bud” Edward Osborne Sr., born on August 14th, 1943, in Homestead, FL. He went into the loving arms of Jesus on August 8th, 2024.
Bud was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He spent over 35 years working at Thermal Engineering, where he earned a well-respected reputation in his industry. He was the rock his family leaned on, offering guidance, support, and unconditional love to those around him. His legendary Memorial Day barbecues were a testament to his joy in bringing his family and friends together. His strength was evident not only in the way he worked tirelessly in his career but also in how he stood by his family, always with a warm heart, wisdom and a steady hand.
He is survived by his brother, Benny, his five children; Kathy, Bruce, Linda, Scott, and Jason; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Clara, his siblings Derwood, Arnold, Austin, Shirley, Sue and his loving grandson Jacob. His legacy of love, strength, and generosity will forever be remembered.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 20th at the Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 4535 Main St., Jacksonville, Florida. The Evergreen Chapel is located on the grounds of Evergreen Cemetery at the base of the bell tower. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Evergreen Funeral Home – (904) 353-3649.
