Carlos M. Gamez passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023 at the age of 66 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Cuba but moved to the United States at an early age.
Carlos leaves behind his beloved wife Rubiela Gamez, his daughter Alexandra, his two sons Yulietzy with four grandchildren and Carlito, his stepdaughter Lizeth with three step grandchildren, his three sisters Betty, Mercy and Jackie, his brother Nestor, one nephew, seven nieces, and eleven great nieces and nephews.
He has left us with so many unforgettable memories. His great sense of humor, his laughter and contagious smile will always be remembered and cherished. His caring spirit led him to always help those around him. Some of his hobbies were playing domino’s, spending time with loved ones and enjoying his favorite foods. He was a hard worker who took risks with new ideas and never gave up. Some called him “superman” because of his strength to thrive and survive through health conditions. He loved God and proudly defended his faith. We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday July 14th at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida. Visitation will begin at 9:30 and continue until the time of the service. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery – (904) 353-3649.
