Carolyn Martha Crotts passed from this life to eternal life in Heaven on September 8th, 2021.  She was born on October 23rd, 1935 to Carl and Sarah Long in Chattanooga TN and was the oldest of 5 children with two brothers and two sisters.  She married the love of her life, Alfred Lindsey Crotts, Sr. on August 7th, 1961 and lived in Jacksonville FL most of her life.

Carol was a beloved mother and grandmother with five children and eight grandchildren.  She was a wonderful cook who loved hosting.  She created a barbeque sauce that was sold nationally.  She was a natural at interior decorating and her sense of style and advice will be missed by all.  Carol was a loving Christian lady and a life-long member of the Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Sarah Long and her husband Alfred L. Crotts, Sr, brothers Ronald and Donald Long, Sr. and grandchildren, Carl and Timothy Stokes and Kelli Carter.  Survivors include her sons Floyd Thomas Stokes, III and Alfred Lindsey Crotts, Jr. and daughters Carolyn Joy Ruhe, Vivian Jenny Stokes, Vicky Lynn Collier and sisters, Emma Toulsley and Linda Castor, along with her five surviving grandchildren and many cherished members of her extended family.

A service to honor and remember Carol will be held on Thursday, September 30th, 2021 at 10:30 am at the gazebo in the Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Al.
