Cathy Hiers

Cathy Hiers

Cathy T. Hiers (Davies) of Jacksonville, Florida gracefully left her family and friends, on Saturday, March 21, 2020, to be with the Lord.

Cathy is survived by her two children, Sara and Adam Hiers and their families; and loved by so many.

She traveled internationally and domestically, enjoying each journey; and yet she found great joy in local festivals, rodeos, the beach and spending time with those she cherished.

While many people find quiet time pleasure in reading books, Cathy found tremendous joy in exercising her creativity with her Lego builds.  Her shopping adventures were always filled with style hunts and friends. Her strong belief in the Golden Rule, truly depicted her selflessness and unconditional love…for she loved us all for all that we are…even our faults.

She brought sunshine to our lives and built happiness in our souls Lego brick by Lego brick. She was her children’s number one fan…

She gave so much support and so much love…

Cathy and I worked side by side for years and our relationship grew outside of work to become a special bond between two people. I will miss our talks and miss our entertaining comments that we shared. She was the kindest most compassionate person I have ever met. I will see you again one day my friend and we will laugh together then. Much love – Julie

Cathy was one of the first people I met when I started at Blue 12 years ago. She was an amazing, compassionate and genuine person. My most heart felt sympathies to her family.

I know I did not say anything at her funeral but I can say some things here.
Even though she was selfless and loved everyone and everything I loved her a lot she was caring and kind to all, even when she dropped me into a pool and it was freezing cold she jumped it to save me. She was the best, better than everyone I know at being one thing… Herself
Kind, loving, selfless, giving, and to think you, new someone, better than her but you don’t
    she was the best
    Rest in peace nanaboo
