Cummings Jacobs Jr. was born in Barnwell, South Carolina on February 02, 1933. The son of Emma Jacobs (Deceased) and Cummings Jacobs Senior (Deceased). Cummings moved to Jacksonville, Florida for a better life and opportunity.
While living in Jacksonville, Cummings met and later married Jean Ann Jacobs (Deceased) and together they raised four children. Cummings loved his family and devoted his life to them. Cummings moved his mother to Jacksonville to live with his family and became a caregiver for her until her death. He provided for his family by working at Econo Rental Car until he decided to become his own boss, by opening a small beer and wine tavern and later becoming an independent cab driver.
Cummings was not afraid to take chances and he exemplified this by becoming an entrepreneur, as well as; In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the dog track and playing lotto. He would bet you almost anything when he believed he was right; his favorite bet was ” I bet you a Coca Cola”. He also love to debate on many topics, especially politics. He enjoyed getting people fired up about his support of Donald Trump,
Cummings Jacobs Jr leaves memories to be cherished by family, Children: Kimberly, Cummings (wife-Debbie), Keith Sr (wife-Rana) and Timothy (Deceased). Grandchildren: Chauntelle Latiesha, Jocelyn (Deceased), Cummings III, Julian, Jacobye, Keith Jr, Kayla, Rory, and Reid. Sibling: Annie Lou Wallace (Deceased). Niece and Nephews: John Wallace, Leon Wallace, Rosa Mae Burgess and Emma Wallace (Deceased).
A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday March 11th, 2023 in Evergreen Chapel 4535 Main Street Jacksonville, Florida 32205. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
