Our wonderful Momma, Deborah Schmidtke, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She would want us to say how much she loved her family, spending time with them, taking care of them and watching her grandbabies grow. Her family wants to say that we always had love, laughter and fun when she was with us. She worked hard to provide and to take care of her family her whole life and had been through so many trials and tribulations but handled them like the warrior she was and she was always positive and always said “This to shall pass”. She has lived in Ormond Beach for 64 years and was born in Hackensack, NJ. She was preceded in death by her parents William Schmidtke and Jean (Nolan) Schmidtke. She is survived by her daughter’s Brandy Wilkins and Kimberly Fox, husband Dan Fox. Son Leslie Kearsch and wife Jessica Kearsch and her beloved grandchildren Lilly Fox, Ryker Kearsch, Barrett Kearsch and Joltin Ferraraccio, and he brother William Schmidtke and wife Judy. She had an unconditional love of dolphins and in lieu of flowers would like any and all donations made in her name to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, where Winter the dolphin resides. She will be greatly missed and was loved more than she can imagine.

Deb was one of a kind. I’m saddened by the news of her passing. She brightened my days working with her in Ormond and I’ll always have fond memories of her no-nonsense approach to life.
