Elmo “Bo ” Edward Paschal Jr

Elmo “Bo” Edward Paschal, Jr., of Palatka, Florida, passed away on September 23, 2025, surrounded by family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Linda Rogers Paschal; his daughters Caroline Paschal Malcom (Susan), Ashley Rogers Soncrant (Dan); and Catherine Paschal Lundgren (Ben), and his grandchildren Sarah and Matthew Whitney and Eli, Lila, and Owen Lundgren.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1945 to Elmo and Lavenia Paschal, Bo attended Robert E. Lee High School and later studied at the University of Georgia. He went on to dedicate nearly 60 years to his family’s over-a-century-old business, Paschal Brothers Hardware and Lumber, proudly carrying on its legacy as Jacksonville’s oldest hardware store. Even at age 80, he made the daily drive from Palatka to Jacksonville, a testament to his devotion, perseverance, and love of his work.

Bo was an avid boater who learned to sail with his wife, Linda. Together, they spent countless happy days on the water and treasured time with friends at the Conch House in St. Augustine. In recent years, he especially loved being outdoors, visiting with family and friends, and savoring life’s simple moments.

Bo will be remembered most for his gentle spirit, quick humor, and generosity. He had a gift for making others feel welcome and cared for, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the many lives he touched.

A visitation will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Evergreen Chapel located under the bell tower in Evergreen Cemetery 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL. followed by the service at 11:00 am. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Evergreen Funeral Home
