Emily Katherine Sprague passed away suddenly on June 20th, 2022. Emily was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 23rd,1995 to Richard and Marilyn Evans Sprague. She graduated from the Bolles School and Catholic University where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business.
Emily was exceptionally artistic and a gifted athlete, driven by competition. She had a passion for art and design stemming from esthetic visions at an early age. Emily has a wide array of hobbies ranging from cooking to jewelry making while her favorite activities were hiking and biking in Acadia National Park.
Her family feels that the quote below embodies her best:
‘If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.’
She is survived by her parents, Dr. Richard Sprague and Marilyn Sprague of Jacksonville, her brother William Ross Sprague and wife Callie Sprague of Jacksonville, her sister Kelly Sprague Bell and husband Andrew Bell of New Jersey, two nieces Madison and Kennedy Sprague along with nephew Broderick Bell.
There will be a visitation service from 10-12 PM, Saturday, June 25th at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral services will be held later in Maine, where she will be interred at Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor. Condolences to the family should be sent to either evergreenjax.com or brookingssmith.com.
