Gary Lloyd Davis, a loving father and cherished friend and brother passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 78 in Jacksonville Florida.
Born June 20, 1947 in St. Augustine Florida. Gary was the son of Melvin Lloyd Davis and Virginia Mae Davis. He was a United States Marine. He served four years in Vietnam. Once he left the marines corps he worked for and retired from Anheuser Busch as chief electrician.
Gary, a loving and devoted father to Terra Davis Tyler and Nathan Lloyd Davis, his family was his greatest joy. He instilled in his children values of love, integrity, and hard work. Over the years Gary enjoyed sailing, gold, and skiing. He has many adventures. He loved reading and completing with ease difficult crossword puzzles. He was a long time member of the American Legion. He has an amazing sense of humor and was always able to make you laugh.
He is survived by his daughter Terra, his son Nathan, his brother Marshall Allen Davis and his sister Patricia M Hodge. He also leaves seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on September 6th at 1:00 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery and Funeral Home Chapel, 4535 Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Later he will be taken to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Evergreen Funeral Home.
