Janet Marie Ruel passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the age 67. Janet was born March 17, 1959 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Janet is survived by Serge Ruel, her loving husband of 34 years. Her son Brian (Christina) Ruel, and daughter Carey (Jason) Wilson. Grandchildren Mason, Caley, Lacey, Riley, Piper and great-grand child Ryder. Her siblings Ricky (Debbie) Williams, Henrey Williams, Donna (Sam) Phelps, and Josephine (Tom) Miller.
She is preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Louise Williams and her siblings Tommy Williams and Judy Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 9th at The Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. The Evergreen Chapel is located at the base of the bell tower on the grounds of Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Evergreen Funeral Home – (904) 353-3649.

She will be surely missed. As cousins growing up together we had out laughter and childhood memories. Those memories will be more precious than gold. Love her dearly and will always be in my heart. Prayers to Serge, the kids and her siblings for peace and comfort.
Janet, my beautiful sister in law, it has been a wonderful 34 plus years having you as part of the family. Thank you for taking great care of Serge and raising two wonderful children. We’ve got it from here. Rest in peace. 🙏
I always remember how much fun she loves the Easter Hunting every yearly event and I also I never forget this moment when Janet’s brothers and sisters watch the WCW wrestling every Saturday.. they scream and excitement while I was little and trying understand what they jump and scream and I join with them it was so much fun for BIG FAMILY WILLIAMS!!! Love never fails forever!
