Jeanna Rae Bass

Jeanna Rae Kegley Bass beloved wife, mother, and Mamaw passed away September 30, 2025 at the young age of 78, surrounded by her family.

She was known for her stories, her big heart, her direct line to God and her unwavering faith. She always rooted for the Paxon Eagles and Florida Gators. She was the one with the green thumb with a love for gardenias and peace lilies.

She retired from St. Lukes Hospital in 1999 after sharing her love and kindness serving there for 19 years. She took care of her mother, brother and aunts until their passing.

She loved her family unconditionally and was always cheering at ball games, recitals and band competitions.

She always shined and witnessed to others up to the day her voice was no more. She is and will always be remembered, loved, and missed. Until we meet again mamaw on your porch in heaven.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Evergreen Chapel located under the bell tower in Evergreen Cemetery 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL. followed by the service at 11:00 am. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Evergreen Funeral Home
