It is with great sorrow that our family has lost Joseph Alan Duke, who passed away unexpectedly at home on May 23, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 51.

Alan was born on December 15, 1967 in Jacksonville, FL and graduated from Keystone Heights High School in 1986.  Growing up he enjoyed playing baseball and off-road bicycle racing. As an adult, he loved fishing and playing golf and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a licensed septic tank contractor and accomplished at operating heavy equipment, which enabled him to work for many construction companies during his lifetime.

Alan is survived by his parents, Donna J. Duke of Jacksonville, FL and Joseph M. (Carolyn) Duke of Keystone Heights, FL; his much beloved daughter, Alanah Duke of Keystone Heights, FL; his sisters, Donna Crider of Charlotte, NC and Gloria (Leo) Dodd of Cape May, NJ: his step-brother, Brad Harvey; 5 nephews, 4 nieces, and 2 great nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for 9:00 am on May 29, 2019, to be immediately followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 am.  Both events will be held at Evergreen Cemetery and Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alan’s life.

    Carolyn and Joe we were very sorry to hear the sad and shocking news about Alan’s passing.. Jimmy and I have prayed for the family and your peace at this time. He often talked about how he liked to work with Alan. God bless you and may you feel God’s arms all around you..Love Audrey
