Joseph Calvin Johnson, Sr

Joseph Calvin Johnson, Sr., of MacClenny, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 29th, 2022.  He was 74. Calvin, as he liked to be called, was born in Jacksonville on April 14th, 1948.

Calvin was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and later lived in MacClenny, Florida with the love of his life Sharon Renee Johnson.  Calvin and Sharon raised 2 sons and 3 grandsons. Calvin was a business owner and mechanic for more than 30 years.  In is free time, Calvin’s passions were classic cars and motorcycles.

Calvin is survived by his son, Joey C. Johnson (Shannon Johnson), and his grandchildren, Joseph Johnson (Alexis Johnson), Johnny Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Alyssa Giddens, Devon Giddens, Taylor Porter, and Brianna Porter.  He also had 6 great-grandchildren.

Calvin’s beloved wife Sharon Renee Johnson preceded him in death along with his son Jimmy Dale Porter, his mother Martha Widows, and his father Ruther Stephens.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6th at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206.  Visitation will begin in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM and will continue with a graveside service beginning at 2:00 PM.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida – (904) 353-3649.
