Kevin “Kip” Kandl, 57, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep March 1st, 2018.
Kevin retired from the United States Navy after several decades of service.
He is preceded in death by his mother Ann Kandl and brother Michael Kandl.
Survivors include his wife Charlene, sons Michael, Daniel, and Nicholas Kandl, daughter Ann (Leesandra) Kandl, sister Erin Carlisle, brothers Matthew and Phillip Kandl, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday March 8, 2018 in Evergreen Chapel. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be 12:30 PM Thursday March 8, 2018 at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with military honors.

BUMMER! I was a good friend of Kip’s my 1st 4 years in the Navy. We went to “A” and “C” school together, then we went on to the Tender (Simon Lake) we had a lot of good times together but none so much as the time we went to his Mom’s in Jax and one of those tennis ball sized cock roaches fell down her chimney into the fireplace. It walked out and we armed ourselves with fireplace shovels…. bbaaannnggg! We looked it kinda shrugged it’s shoulders and walked back into the fireplace. I don’t think we phased it!
