Loretta Eugenia Phelps, 80, passed into the presence of our Lord due to natural causes on March 24, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Loretta was born in Pembroke, Georgia to Kermit and Bertie Mae Burnsed on May 16, 1936. She graduated from Stillwell High School in Pembroke and later moved to Jacksonville, Florida.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Bertie Mae Burnsed; her brother, Haskell Burnsed; and her son, Robert Tullis.
Loretta is survived by her sons Charles Tullis (Patty), Richard Tullis (Vera), and David Tullis; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters Betty Hall of Callahan, Florida, Marion Faye Smith (Don) of Jacksonville, Florida, Margaret Hall (Larry) of Mandarin, Florida; as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Evergreen Chapel at 1 p.m. March 29, 2017. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. The internment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the service.
