Ms. Maggie L. Pitts peacefully departed this life on December 9, 2025.
Ms. Pitts was born on October 18, 1925, in Tifton, Georgia to Ada Dawson Walker and Homer Walker. She was educated in the local school system and later worked as a housekeeper. She was a faithful member of her church and lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.
Ms. Pitts was preceded in death by her husband Rev Willie C Pitts. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, John Parker Sr., her grandchildren, Darrell Parker, (Thomasena), Zina Parker, John Parker Jr., (Rhonda), Sabrina Parker, Katrina Parker, Beverly Parker, Tekesha Parker, Carlos Parker (Marion), Nicola Parker, Nicole Parker, and Beverly Parker; 17 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
There will be a service at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 19, 2025. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM in the Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel 4535 Main Street Jacksonville, FL. 32206. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Evergreen Funeral Home & Crematory- (904) 353-3649
