Margaret “Marge” Raymond

Margaret “Marge” Raymond

February 11, 1952 – July 26, 2024

Margaret “Marge” Raymond, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born in South Plainfield, NJ, where she lived until moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1983.

Marge is lovingly remembered by her surviving family: her son Justin, daughter Kelly (Mike), and granddaughter Jenna. She was preceded in death by her daughter Alison, husband Bob, and son Jeff.

Marge had a distinguished career at AT&T and Citibank, where her expertise and dedication were matched by her generosity in mentoring and supporting her colleagues. She was a trusted friend and advisor, and her impact on those she worked with is fondly remembered.

A devoted fan of classic rock music, Marge spent countless hours listening to the timeless songs that resonated with her throughout her life. She had a passion for impressionist and mid-century art and antiques, enjoyed creating her own home décor, and took pride in her green thumb. Marge loved cooking and coming up with creative recipes. She was an avid fan of the winter and summer Olympics.

Marge cherished many family vacations, particularly trips to Las Vegas and cruises, where she created lasting memories with loved ones. She noted that the visit to Barbados was one of the best times of her life. Most recently, Marge lived in a community for seniors where she embraced new friendships and found renewed interest in social activities.

Ultimately, Marge’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and pets, her warm, nurturing spirit, and her quick wit. She was very much like a second mother to her children’s friends and was always willing to help those in need. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A gathering will be held at Evergreen’s Chapel on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:00am, with a memorial service to celebrate Marge’s life at 10:30am. Evergreen Cemetery is located at 4535 Main St. N,  Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment ceremony will follow, in which the urns of Marge, Bob, and Jeff will be laid to rest.

Arrangements are with Evergreen Funeral Home & Crematory 904-353-3649.
