Melba Young Russ, 66, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Saturday December 21st, 2024.
She retired from the healthcare field where she worked as a dialysis nurse. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Commonwealth.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas W. Russ and sons Timothy W. Russ and Michael B. Russ, mother Marie Webb Young and father Oree C. Young and siblings Jimmy Young, Betty Young, and Delton Young.
Survivors include her son Thomas Russ and (Robin Mel), extended daughter Kawana Brown, grandchildren Aaliyah Russ & Isabella Russ; siblings, Patricia Smith (Pastor Arthur Smith) of Lake Waccamaw NC, David Young (Angelique), Allen Young, and Alice Simmons all of Clinton NC, Phillip Young (Isabella) and Kenneth Young all of San Antonio, TX and a large network of friends and extended family.
Funeral Service will be 11 AM Tuesday December 31st, 2024, at Evergreen Chapel 4535 Main Street Jacksonville, FL. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be in the chapel half an hour prior to the service.
