Michael Louis Francis 74 years old and he was born in Jacksonville Florida on January 17, 1950. Michael passed away in Fernandina Beach Hospital Hospice at peace to be with the Lord and his deceased family on January 12, 2025.
When Michael was in high school he was a baseball player for Andrew Jackson high school and he remained an avid fan of sports.
Michael is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Helen Francis, and parents Johnny and Edna Francis.
Survivors include his sister Mary Ann (Charles) Whittle, Iris (Harold) Cason and two nieces, Lorna and Daulton Harris, and their son Cason and Amanda Cason, along with many friends that he stayed in touch with over the years.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be Saturday January 25th, 2025 10:30 AM at Evergreen Chapel 4535 Main St Jacksonville, FL with a 10 AM gathering time prior to the service.

Francis, you’ve been missed greatly through the years. They were a part of my family too. Through high school they worked at our house as much as your.. your laughs and jokes will forever be in my heart, you were the most free dancer I’ve ever experienced. I’ll have to do like a brother. I would’ve loved to have seen you one last time. You will be messed by all the new you I’m sure. I hope you’re sitting around cutting the pool with Lamar and heaven. With love, Nelda.
