Raymond Malone Norville, 83, of Jacksonville, was born on December 20, 1933. He passed away June 3rd, 2017.
Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Raymond moved to Jacksonville in 1951 and attended and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. He was a graduate of the University of Florida where he was president of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a veteran of the US Navy. In his early career, he was a real estate developer and owned and operated Norco Properties. He later entered the furniture business from which he retired in 2012. He was an avid sports fan and a kind and loving friend, husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Joyce, son Lee (Susan) Norville, daughter Paula (Bronson) Lamb, grandchildren Palmer (Ben), Bronson, Charlie, Claire, John, great-grandchild Owen, and nephew Chris Baxter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Church of The Good Shepherd, 1100 Stockton Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204 or the charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 9th at 10:30 AM in Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main Street (Gate 5 entrance) with the Reverend Gerald G. Alexander officiating.
