Roger Lee Maple

Roger Lee Maple, 70, of Jacksonville, FL was born on July 31st, 1948 to Donald and Frances Maple. He passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family.

He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in June of 1966. He had a distinguished military career spanning 22 years, which included time in the Marines and the Florida Army National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Maple, after 50 years of marriage who passed away only four months prior. He is survived by two daughters Erin (Mike) Jackson and Megan (Lee) Dupree and a son Travis (Christina) Maple, as well as seven grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, a brother, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday September 22nd, at 10:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery  in the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
