Rose Mary Green born Rose Mary Armstrong on June 15, 1946 in Brunswick, GA, was the daughter of the late Pastor James Aaron Armstrong and Missionary Willie Mae Presley Johnson and was the sister of the late Alberta Worthen (Horace), Elizabeth Davis (Hubert), Charlie Clark, Mary Clark, Elder James N. Armstrong (Carla), and surviving sister Vivian Stuart (Ernest), She departed this earthly life on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the age of 76.
She is survived by her four children: Miriam Bevel (Davis) of Jacksonville, FL (Husband Joe and children Luv, Melody, Honesty, Carlton, Destiny, Entegrity, Cerrenity, and Harmon’ee), Robert Y Davis of Tampa, FL (wife Carol and children Victoria, Robin, and Robert Michael), Sabrina Plater (Davis) of Katy, TX (Daughters Chanell, Rondreka, Ciera, and Katrina), Rose Renee Mullings (Green) of Jacksonville, FL (Husband Christopher and children Noah, Jamie, and Krishan) and the late Darrick Davis (Life Partner Melissa and children Darrick, DaShun, NaTasha, and Brandi); as well as her twenty grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, some extended family, love ones, and host of friends. She lived a full life and touched many hearts with her songs, humor, laughs, and crazy dances. Remember her smile as you reminisce on your favorite memories of her outgoing personality. Rose Mary Green grew up in church at “Johnson Temple First Born Church where she sang in the church choir. She and Sister Vivian song in an organized gospel group called the “Signing Angels”. She was one of the lead singers of the group and everyone knew she loved to praise GOD in song. Some of her favorites songs were, “I will not complain”, “Eyes on the sparrow”, and “Glory, Glory” (all performed for us today).
After graduating from Risley High School in Brunswick, GA, she married Robert Davis and had daughter, Miriam Davis, and son Robert Davis. She spent her marriage as a housewife. After six years of marriage she divorced and met her next love Herman Rawls and had two more children Sabrina Davis and Darrick Davis. The romance was short lived and ended mutually. Her career at the time was in education, she worked as a pre-school teacher for the most part of her early adult life. It was around this time she met up with an old dear friend and married Nathaniel P. Green later having their daughter, Rose Renee Green. As a lifelong educator, she found happiness in being a homemaker and as a mother wanting to be a better parent. After the passing of her husband, she was employed and retired by Jax Naval Base located in Jacksonville, FL. Along the way touching many lives in her daily employment, volunteering events, and raising her grandchildren. Life was good being able to provide support to so many people and family members the love she gave was priceless.
As a woman of faith, Rose wished to have a celebration of the immortality promised to all by Christ. She would love to be remembered with funny jokes, pranks, or silly stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life.
Funeral Service will be 2:30 PM Saturday December 17, 2022 in Evergreen Chapel 4535 Main St Jacksonville, Florida 32206. A visitation will be held in the chapel starting at 1:30 PM and ending at service time.

I will always love this woman. She was such a good mother, friend, mentor, and model to mimic through the years. You will be truly missed. Love you!!!!!
