Mrs. Ruby E. Monts was born to Tom Monts Sr. and Ruby Sails on August 17, 1939 in Ocala, Florida. She attended local schools in Duval County.
In 1969 Ruby married Izell Cummings Sr. They were married for 52 years,
Ruby was employed by a local security company for many years, retiring in 2013.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; Tom Monts and Ruby Sails. Her husband; Izell Cummings Sr. Children; Herman Amos and Cynthia Cummings. Siblings; Randy, Freddie, Lorenzo and Sandra Hayes, Tom Monts Jr., Mary Prince, Irene Cash
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory her daughters; Dorothy Ann Amos, Cathy Johnson, Diane Frazier (Tony) Terrie Alston (Desmond) Son; Kenneth Johnson, Izell Cummings Jr. And Daniel Cummings. Siblings Willie Monts, Henry Hayes (Barbara) Corine Addison (Willie) and Brenda Web (George) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends.
A Visitation will be held at 9 AM on Saturday July 1st in Evergreen Chapel 4535 Main St Jacksonville, FL 32206. A Graveside Service will be held at 10 AM in Evergreen Cemetery following the Visitation in the chapel.
