I will miss you, bro. More than I ever thought, I will miss you. I wish to God I could live the last few years over again and make better choices to do the right thing with you. I am sorry, and I pray you forgive me. I will always remember our going to the movies together, our Alaska trip (especially when you fell on the glacier!), our Europe trip (where we discovered ‘Whitmarsh Rock,’ what others foolishly call Stonehenge…), and Super Bowl get-togethers. One day, the Jaguars will get there, and I will be there to cheer them on for you.
Mom had to get to Heaven first to lay out the red carpet for you. Tell her I love you both, and I’ll see you again. Rest in peace, bro. I love you.
Oh, Steven…. my heart breaks that I will never hear your laugh again, share another meal together, get together for another Super Bowl, be on the receiving end of one of your big, brotherly bear hugs, or listen to you tease and tell your nieces to stop growing up so fast. I wish we had spent more time over the last few years, but life is funny sometimes. I love you with all my heart and pray for your soul. May you rest in God’s peace.
Steven, you are missed. I know you see it and see how difficult it is for the ones you’ve left behind, I am thankful that you are no longer in pain and with Cathy. Give her a kiss for me. Take care of each other, and we’ll see you on the other side.
