Wilson Oscar Coffin, 32, born December15,1985, in Durham NC, passed away May 27, 2018, in Jacksonville, FL. His example of how to handle an illness with optimism, fortitude, courage, and grace has left a lasting legacy.
Quick with a smile and a dry sense of humor, his charismatic personality impacted all who had the good fortune to know him. He found his greatest joy and solace in his ever-loving and remarkable life partner Jen, who was his rock. With his talent for storytelling, and the depth and breadth of his knowledge, he and Jen created a space for family and friends to join them on their excellent adventures.
He is survived by his partner Jennifer Anne Graham, their cats, Bowie and Toby, his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Oscar Coffin (Isabel DeHoff), Charlottesville, VA., his sister Dr. Julia Faucette Taylor (Robert James Taylor), Charlottesville, VA, his sister Joanne Coffin Isenhour (Brandon Drew Isenhour), Charlotte, NC, niece Ryleigh Brennan Taylor, nephew Brogan Coffin Taylor, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Wilson’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1100 Stockton Street, Jacksonville FL. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to Farm Sanctuary (farmsanctuary.org).
